God in Quran

In the name of God, the merciful Lord of mercy

Verse of The Throne

God!
There is no God save Him, the Alive, the Eternal.
Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him.
Unto Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens
and whatsoever is in the earth.
Who is he that intercedes with Him save by His leave?
He knows that which is in front of them
and that which is behind them,
while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will.
His throne includes the heavens and the earth,
and He is never weary of preserving them.
He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.

(From Chapter 2 Verse no 255)

The Opening (Al-Fatihah):

In the name of God, the merciful Lord of mercy
Praise be to God, the Lord of all being,
The merciful Lord of mercy,
Master of the Day of Judgement.
You alone we serve and to You alone we come for aid.
Guide us in the straight path,
The path of those whom You have blessed,
Not of those against whom there is displeasure,
Nor of those who have gone astray.

(The First Chapter in Al-Quran)

Chapter 2: The Cow:

115. Unto God belong the East and the West, and whithersoever ye turn, there is God's Countenance. Lo! God is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.

116. And they say: God has taken unto Himself a son. Be He glorified! Nay, but whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth is His. All are subservient unto Him.

117. The Originator of the heavens and the earth! When He decrees a thing, He says unto it only: Be! and it is.

136. Say ye: 'We believe in God and the revelation given to us and to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and it is unto Him that we surrender ourselves.'

186. When my servants question you about Me, tell them that I am near. I answer the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on Me. Therefore, they should respond to Me and put their trust in Me, so that they may be rightly guided.

Chapter 3: The Family of Imran:

26. Say: O God, Master of the Kingdom! Thou givest the kingdom to whomsoever Thou pleasest and takest away the kingdom from whomsoever Thou pleasest, and Thou exaltest whom Thou pleasest and abasest whom Thou pleasest in Thine hand is the good; surety, Thou hast power over all things.

27. Thou causest the night to pass into the day, and Thou causest the day to pass into the night. And Thou bringest forth the living from the dead, and Thou bringest forth the dead from the living. And Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou choosest, without stint.

73. Grace is from the hand of God, and He gives it to whom he wishes.  God is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.

160. If God is your helper none can overcome you, and if He withdraw His help from you, who is there who can help you after Him? In God let believers put their trust.

Chaper 6: Livestock:

17.  If God touch thee with affliction, there is none that can relieve therefrom but He, and if He touch thee with good fortune (there is none that can impair it); for He is Able to do all things.

Chapter 9: Repentance:

116. Unto God belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He giveth life and He taketh it. Except for Him ye have no protector nor helper.

Chapter 24: Light:

35. God is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! God guides whom He will to His Light: God sets forth Parables for men: and God knows all things.

36. (Lit is such a Light) in houses, which God has permitted to be raised to honour; for the celebration, in them, of His name: In them is He glorified in the mornings and in the evenings, (again and again).

Chapter 28: The Stories:

88. And cry not unto any other god along with God. There is no god save Him. Everything will perish save His countenance. His is the command, and unto Him ye will be brought back.

Chapter 36: YA-SEEN:

82. But his command, when he wishes a thing, is only that He says to it "Be!", and it is.  Glory be to the One in whose hand is dominion over everything, and to Him you shall return.

Chapter 41: Explained in Detail:

53. Soon We shall show them Our signs on the horizons and in themselves until it is clear to them that He is the Truth.  Is your Lord not sufficient?  Truly He witnesses everything.

Chapter 65: Divorce:

3. And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in God, sufficient is (God) for him. For God will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has God appointed a due proportion.

Chapter 112: Sincerity:

1. Say: He is God, the One and Only;

2. God, the Eternal, Absolute (on Whom all depend);

3. He begets not, nor is He begotten;

4. And there is none like unto Him.

Chapter 10: Jonah:
61. In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an,- and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing,- We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record.

68. They say: God has taken a son (to Himself)! Glory be to Him: He is the Self-sufficient: His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth; you have no authority for this; do you say against God what you do not know?

69. Say: Those who forge a lie against God shall not be successful.

Chapter 13: The Thunder:
11. For him are angels ranged before him and behind him, who guard him by God's command. Lo! God changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts; and if God willeth misfortune for a folk there is none that can repel it, nor have they a defender beside Him.

Chapter 14: Abraham:
19. Seest thou not that God created the heavens and the earth in Truth? If He so will, He can remove you and put (in your place) a new creation?

20. Nor is that for God any great matter.

Chapter 24: The light:
41. Do you not see that God is He Whom do glorify all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the (very) birds with expanded wings? He knows the prayer of each one and its glorification, and God is Cognizant of what they do.

42. And God's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and to God is the eventual coming.

43. Do you not see that God drives along the clouds, then gathers them together, then piles them up, so that you see the rain coming forth from their midst? And He sends down of the clouds that are (like) mountains wherein is hail, afflicting therewith whom He pleases and turning it away from whom He pleases; the flash of His lightning almost takes away the sight.

44. God turns over the night and the day; most surely there is a lesson in this for those who have sight.

45. And God has created from water every living creature: so of them is that which walks upon its belly, and of them is that which walks upon two feet, and of them is that which walks upon four; God creates what He pleases; surely God has power over all things.

46. We have indeed sent down signs that make things manifest: and God guides whom He wills to a way that is straight.

64. Now surely God's is whatever is in the heavens and the earth; He knows indeed that to which you are conforming yourselves; and on the day on which they are returned to Him He will inform them of what they did; and God is Cognizant of all things.

Chapter 31: Luqman:
25. If thou ask them, who it is that created the heavens and the earth. They will certainly say, "God". Say: "Praise be to God!" But most of them understand not.

26. To God belong all things in heaven and earth: verily God is He (that is) free of all wants, worthy of all praise.

27. And if all the trees on earth were pens and the ocean (were ink), with seven oceans behind it to add to its (supply), yet would not the words of God be exhausted (in the writing): for God is Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.

28. And your creation or your resurrection is in no wise but as an individual soul: for God is He Who hears and sees (all things).

29. Seest thou not that God merges Night into Day and he merges Day into Night; that He has subjected the sun, and the moon (to his Law), each running its course for a term appointed; and that God is well-acquainted with all that ye do?

30. That is because God is the (only) Reality, and because whatever else they invoke besides Him is Falsehood; and because God,- He is the Most High, Most Great.

31. Seest thou not that the ships sail through the ocean by the Grace of God?- that He may show you of His Signs? Verily in this are Signs for all who constantly persevere and give thanks.

32. When a wave covers them like the canopy (of clouds), they call to God, offering Him sincere devotion. But when He has delivered them safely to land, there are among them those that halt between (right and wrong). But none reject Our Signs except only a perfidious ungrateful (wretch)!

33. O mankind! do your duty to your Lord, and fear (the coming of) a Day when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for his father. Verily, the promise of God is true: let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the chief Deceiver deceive you about God.

34. Verily the knowledge of the Hour is with God (alone). It is He Who sends down rain, and He Who knows what is in the wombs. Nor does any one know what it is that he will earn on the morrow: Nor does any one know in what land he is to die. Verily with God is full knowledge and He is acquainted (with all things).

Chapter 55: THE BENEFICENT:
29. On Him depend all creatures in the heavens and on earth; (and) every day He manifests Himself in yet another (wondrous) way.
